Buyer
(Kuala Lumpur - Bandar Menjalara, Kepong)
Responsibilities:
- Create profitable customer driven ranges and promotions to deliver Sales and Margin targets.
- Manage group of products to support the delivery of company customer plan and promises.
- Selects the range of products to be sold in a given Department.
- Negotiates the trading terms on which products are bought.
- Implements key Tesco processes, i.e. Price / Service Level.
- Negotiates promotions in line with Promotion Policy & Timetable.
- Able to create differentiation on range and promotions.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in any discipline, with Buying experience within a multi site retail consumer business.
- Business minded and have a passion for retail.
- Good in planning, negotiation, organizing skills and posses strategic thinking.
- Possess understanding of country and global supply chain processes.
- Possess strong numerical, negotiation and communication skills.
- Possess commercial awareness and customer-focused.
- Computer literate with good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in Chinese is an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, a good team player, disciplined, committed and able to work under pressure.
- Experienced in buying electrical appliances is highly preferred.
