Chief Financial Officer
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
- Leads and coordinates with respective divisions/ departments on the Company’s annual budget planning and finalization
- Directs and oversees the financial and management accounting functions and ensures the Company’s sets of accounts are prepared and maintained as per financial SOPs and statutory requirements
- Provides expert technical financial advice and guidance to the Company
- Formulates optimum investment and funding strategy to maximize Return on Investment (ROI)
- Ensures adequate insurance cover for the Company’s assets and other exposures
- Collaborates with division/ department heads to initiate cost control and plays a key role in the Company’s business growth and expansion
- Liaises with Auditors, Tax Agents, Banks and other Statutory Authorities
- Assesses the performance of departmental heads for purpose of reward, development and succession planning
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance/ Professional Accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA or MICPA.
- Membership with MIA. Membership with other professional association such as ACCA, CIMA or MICPA would be an added advantage.
- Minimum 7 years relevant working experience.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and compliance issues.
- Confident, self-motivated, strong leadership, management skill and performance driven.
- Excellent business sense and critical/analytical aptitude, with ability to act as advisor/partner to line management.
- Able to work flexibly in a dynamic environment, and also work well under pressure and tight deadlines.
