Buyer - Tesco Brand
(Kuala Lumpur - Kepong)
Responsibilities:
- Creates profitable customer driven ranges and promotions to deliver Sales and Margin targets.
- Manages group of products to support the delivery of company customer plan and promises.
- Selects the range of products to be sold in a given department.
- Negotiates the trading terms on which products are bought.
- Implements key Tesco processes, i.e. Price / Service Level.
- Negotiates promotions in line with Promotion Policy & Timetable.
- Able to create differentiation on range and promotions.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma/Degree in any discipline, with Buying experience within a multi site retail consumer business.
- Experience in product development is highly preferred.
- Minimum 2 years experience in buying or procurement.
- Business minded and have a passion for retail. Good in planning, negotiation, organizing skills and posses strategic thinking.
- Possess understanding of country and global supply chain processes. Possess strong numerical, negotiation communication skills. Possess commercial awareness and customer-focused.
- Computer literate with good command of English and BahasaMalaysia. The ability to converse in other dialects will be an added advantage.
- Self-motivated, a good team player, disciplined, committed and able to work under pressure.
