Technical Specialist Enterprise IT Security
(Kuala Lumpur)
Responsibilities:
- The employee’s primary responsibility must be to research, develop and implement specialized security products and processes to prevent or minimize potential damage to the corporate IT environment. Address threats to security across multiple platforms including applications, systems, communications and databases.
- Research, analyze, recommend and implement new products, technologies, applications, and /or services as needed to ensure the integrity of the corporate IT environment
- Oversee the design and development of advanced implementations
- Ensure that operational processes and controls are in place and functioning as needed
- Serve as subject matter expert on matters of Enterprise IT Security, including specific technology focus
- Lead project development and implementation, may also serve as project resource
- Create security project documentation
- May instruct, direct and check the work of less experienced staff
- 10 years overall IT experience including 6 years data security or related experience
- Knowledge of advanced security software products, techniques, processes and vendors
- Knowledge of current IT security concerns and changes in technology as they relate to the corporate IT environment
- Experience with multiple platforms in a multi-national enterprise environment
- Program Management skills
- Knowledge of one or more of the following:
- Firewalls, Platform Security (Windows, Unix, Linux , Mainframes), VPNs, IPS/IDS systems, Security Compliance Tools, Vulnerability Management Tools
- Written and verbal communication skills knowledge of relevant security related areas including : UNIX, Networks, Telecommunications, Intranet, Firewalls and /or LDAP knowledge of security software, databases and client server technology and applications Project management skills
- Financial Services Industry experience preferred
